About Us
"For the Young or Young at Heart"
Laree's Kawaii World evolved from my love of crafts and fashion. I started pageants when I was 13, I found a dress at a thrift store in Cape Girardeau Missouri, and decided that it needed some much needed sparkle. I wore that dress to a dance and got compliments on it. I loved upcycling items or finding ways to elevate an item to fit my taste. Fast forward to 2012. My son was going through cancer treatment in Memphis, at St. Jude's. There were a lot of times my son and I had to sit waiting for appointments so I would bring a craft to do while sitting. While visiting craft stores in the Memphis area, I discovered Mod Podge melts, where i put a white hot glue substance into silicone molds, and from there it blossomed into resin, and then with researching charms I found Decoden. My son loved playing video games which tied up the tv. So I crafted while he played minecraft. After the lost years of 2020 and 2021. I started to go to flea markets and took Laree's Kawaii World on the road. The storefront came in 2025 due to my disability and the inability to travel and set up elaborate booths, like I used to be able to. I also added the Decoden and Beadable Pen Bar to the shop. I invite everyone to take a chance on my shop, and get creative!
